Stori in Slack

Stori in Slack is your whole Stori workspace in a thread. Mention @Stori in a channel, or message it directly, and ask in plain language:

• “Which of our jobs has the most interviewed candidates?”
• “On the Staff Engineer role, who has actually run an on-call rotation? Quote what they said.”
• “Compare Kevin Lin and Clare Woods on the evidence we hold.”
• “Add a note on Kevin Lin and move him to the final stage.”
• “Draft an outreach email to the three strongest people on the Data Engineer role.”
• “What did the assistant change in our workspace today?”

Every answer is grounded in your candidates' actual interview transcripts. When Stori quotes a candidate, the quote is real, cited, and carries a video timestamp so you can verify it in one click.

Anything that would change data is different. Stori posts an approval card in the thread saying exactly what it is about to do, and does it only when you press Approve. Nobody else can approve on your behalf, and every action lands in your audit log under your name.

A workspace admin adds the app once; each person then connects their own account.

1. In Stori, open Settings → Integrations → Slack and choose Add to Slack. Slack asks you to confirm the workspace and permissions.
2. Back in Slack, run /stori connect (or just mention @Stori). Stori opens a page where you sign in, choose what the assistant may do for you, and press Connect.
3. Ask something. Replies stay in the thread, so follow-up questions keep their context.

The permissions you grant are the same ones a Claude or ChatGPT connection would hold. Reads and everyday pipeline changes are on by default; sending email, inviting people to interviews and revealing contact details are opt-in, and your workspace admin controls which categories exist at all (Settings → Integrations → AI Apps).

In any channel, run /stori watch Staff Engineer (or /stori watch all). That channel then receives:

• new applicants as they arrive
• finished Stori interviews, with a suggested question to ask about them
• stage changes, hires, offers sent, accepted and declined
• a weekday morning digest with counts and the people with the strongest checkable evidence so far

/stori unwatch stops it. /stori watches lists what a channel receives. If Stori cannot post in a private channel, invite @Stori to it first.

The Stori entry in your Slack sidebar (the App Home) shows your connection, the channels receiving updates, and a disconnect button.

If you also keep a personal Stori, the connect page lets you choose it instead of your company workspace. A personal connection works in direct messages only: Stori will not act on your own record in a shared channel.

• “Connect your Stori account” keeps appearing. The connect link lasts fifteen minutes. Run /stori connect for a fresh one.
• “Your Stori connection belongs to a different company.” A Slack workspace is bound to one Stori company. Ask an admin of that company, or reconnect with the right account.
• A tool says it needs a permission or a plan. Sourcing across the wider pool needs a Sourcing subscription; sending email needs the outreach permission you opt into at connect time and the category enabled by your admin. Stori tells you which.
• A candidate comes back identity-only. Their record is locked to your company under the candidate access model; ask Stori to request access and the candidate decides.
• Nothing happens in a private channel. Invite @Stori to the channel.

Remove the app for the whole workspace from Settings → Integrations → Slack → Remove from Slack. Every member's connection is revoked at the same time.
