Analytics Dashboard

Stori's Analytics Dashboard gives you a single view of every metric that matters in hiring — from raw applicant volume to trait-level patterns across your interview pool. All charts share a date range and job filter, so you can slice the same data five different ways without losing context.

What the Dashboard Covers

The Analytics page lives at Analytics in the top nav and is organized into five tabs:

  • Overview — top-line KPIs (applicants, interviews completed, hires, time to hire), applicant trend, full hiring funnel, and your top jobs by volume.
  • Pipeline — the full funnel with stage-by-stage drop-off rates and a per-job conversion table so you can see which jobs are stuck where.
  • Sources — channel breakdown by volume and by hire conversion. Tells you which sources bring volume, and which sources actually produce hires.
  • Outreach — on Sourcing only. Sequence step-by-step funnel, send-time heatmap, and tables of your sequences, templates, and per-recruiter performance.
  • Assessment — Stori Intelligence metrics: invite → profile → trait completion rates, trait distribution across your pipeline, and question effectiveness.

Every chart is filtered by the date range and job selector at the top of the page. Change either filter and every visible chart re-runs.

Filtering Your View

Date Range

Pick from 7 days, 30 days, This Quarter, This Year, or set a custom range. Custom range opens a month/year picker and lets you compare any two arbitrary periods.

Job Filter

By default the dashboard shows data for every job. Use the job multi-select to narrow to one or several roles — useful when you want to know how a specific req is performing rather than the whole org.

The filter bar is sticky as you scroll. You can change date range or jobs from any tab without scrolling back to the top.

Overview Tab

Five KPI cards sit at the top: total applicants, interviews completed, candidates moved to Final stage, hires, and average time to hire. Each card shows the value, the trend vs. the previous comparable period, and a sparkline.

Below the KPIs:

  • Applicant Trend — daily applicant volume over the selected range. Click and drag to zoom into a window.
  • Hiring Funnel — Applicants → Qualified → Progressed → Final → Hired. Hover any stage to see the drop-off rate from the previous stage.
  • Time to Hire Trend — average days from application to hire, broken down by job posting close date.
  • Top Jobs — your busiest jobs by applicant count, with quick links into each.

Pipeline Tab

The Pipeline tab focuses on flow rather than volume. The main funnel shows two views you can toggle between:

  • Stage-to-stage — what percentage of candidates at stage N moved to stage N+1.
  • Cumulative — what percentage of original applicants made it to each stage.

Below the funnel, the Job Breakdown Table lists every job in your selection with applicants, interviews, finals, hires, and conversion rate. Sort by any column to find the jobs converting best — or worst.

A common pattern: high applicants but low interviews means your invitation messaging or assessment friction needs work. High interviews but low finals means your interview questions aren't differentiating candidates.

Sources Tab

Sources tells you where your candidates come from and which sources actually produce hires.

  • Source Donut — share of applicants by channel (Indeed, ZipRecruiter, careers page, sourced, manual invite, etc.).
  • Source-to-hire conversion — same channels, but ranked by hire rate. A source with 5% of your applicants but a 30% hire rate is far more valuable than a source with 50% of applicants and a 1% hire rate.

Use this view to decide where to invest your sourcing budget and which job boards to drop.

Outreach Tab (Sourcing)

The Outreach tab only appears for companies with a Sourcing subscription. It tracks how your sequences and templates are performing.

  • Step Funnel — for each sequence, what percentage of contacts opened, clicked, replied, and converted at each step. Reveals where your sequences lose people.
  • Sequence Table — every active and archived sequence with sent volume, open/click/reply rates.
  • Template Table — same metrics by individual template, regardless of which sequence used it.
  • Recruiter Table — per-team-member performance so you can see who's getting the best response rates.
  • Send Time Heatmap — opens and replies broken out by hour and day of week. Tells you when your audience is actually reading email.

Assessment Tab (Stori Intelligence)

This tab covers the things only Stori can show you — what happens between invitation and completion of your AI interview and trait assessment.

  • Intelligence Funnel — invited → profile started → profile completed → traits started → traits completed. Tells you where candidates abandon the assessment flow.
  • Trait Distribution — for each measured trait, the distribution of scores across your full pipeline. Useful for spotting whether your funnel skews toward (or away from) the trait pattern your benchmark identified.
  • Question Effectiveness — which interview questions produced the most informative answers (measured by transcript depth and downstream stage progression). Helps you prune weak questions.

If you've benchmarked your team, the trait distribution chart overlays your benchmark profile so you can see at a glance whether your incoming pipeline matches what your top performers look like.

Customizing Your Dashboard

Click the gear icon next to the tab bar to enter edit mode. From here you can:

  • Drag and drop cards to reorder them within a tab.
  • Hide cards you don't use via the card menu.
  • Reset back to the default layout.

Your layout is saved per user, so each member of your team can keep their own view.

What You See Before You Have Data

When you first open the dashboard with no jobs or candidates yet, every chart renders as a ghost variant — the title and frame stay prominent so you know what will appear, but the chart area shows an empty state graphic and a short prompt.

As soon as you create a job and invite candidates, the same charts populate with your real data. There's no separate "demo mode" you have to toggle off.
