Introduction
Welcome to Stori. These Terms and Conditions (“Terms”) govern your use of the Stori website at https://www.onestori.com and related services (collectively, the “Services”). By accessing or using the Services, you agree to be bound by these Terms. If you do not agree, you may not use Stori.
Who We Are
Stori (“we,” “our,” or “us”) provides an online platform that enables candidates to create digital resumes incorporating video interviews, psychometric assessments, and related content, and enables recruiters and employers to review candidate-shared information.
Eligibility
You must be at least 16 years old to use the Services. By using Stori, you represent and warrant that you meet this requirement.
Accounts
- You must provide accurate and complete information when creating an account.
- You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account credentials.
- You must notify us immediately of any unauthorized access or use of your account.
Candidate Content
- Candidates retain ownership of all resumes, interviews, assessments, and materials they upload or create using Stori (“Candidate Content”).
- By using the Services, candidates grant Stori a limited, non-exclusive, revocable license to host, process, and display Candidate Content solely for the purpose of operating and providing the Services.
- Candidates control when and with whom their Candidate Content is shared. Recruiters and employers only gain access when explicitly authorized by the candidate.
Recruiter / Employer Use
Recruiters and employers may use the Services only for legitimate hiring and evaluation purposes. You may not misuse candidate data, resell information, scrape the platform, or use the Services for unlawful or discriminatory purposes.
Acceptable Use
You agree not to:
- Violate applicable laws or regulations
- Upload false, misleading, infringing, or unlawful content
- Harass, spam, or harm others
- Attempt to interfere with or compromise the security or integrity of the Services
We reserve the right to suspend or terminate accounts that violate these rules.
Payments and Subscriptions
- Certain features require payment (including subscriptions or outreach credits).
- Payments are processed through third-party providers (e.g., Stripe).
- Fees are non-refundable unless required by law.
- We may change pricing, features, or plans with reasonable notice.
Intellectual Property
All rights, title, and interest in the Stori platform, including software, design, trademarks, and content (excluding Candidate Content), are owned by Stori or its licensors. You may not copy, modify, distribute, reverse engineer, or exploit any part of the Services without our prior written permission.
No Hiring or Outcome Guarantees
Stori provides tools to present and evaluate candidate information. We do not guarantee hiring outcomes, job offers, interview decisions, or employment results. All hiring decisions remain solely the responsibility of recruiters and employers.
Disclaimer of Warranties
The Services are provided on an “as is” and “as available” basis. To the fullest extent permitted by law, we disclaim all warranties, express or implied, including warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement.
Limitation of Liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law:
- Stori shall not be liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages.
- Our total liability for any claim arising out of or relating to the Services shall not exceed the amount you paid to us in the twelve (12) months preceding the claim.
Indemnification
You agree to indemnify and hold harmless Stori, its affiliates, and employees from any claims, damages, losses, or expenses arising from your use of the Services, your Candidate Content, or your violation of these Terms.
Termination
You may stop using the Services at any time by deleting your account. We may suspend or terminate access if you violate these Terms or misuse the Services. Provisions relating to ownership, disclaimers, limitations of liability, and indemnification survive termination.
Changes to These Terms
We may update these Terms from time to time. Changes will be effective when posted with an updated “Last Updated” date. Continued use of the Services constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms.
Governing Law
These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of California, without regard to conflict-of-law principles.
