Why now

This is the first product designer role at Skilz created to bridge the gap between design, management, and coding as the company grows with $10 million in funding.

What you will be accountable for

• Build a new design system and convert it into React objects within 90 days.
• Design and build internal tools to reduce reliance on multiple subscriptions within 6 months.
• Run a team of 3 people by the end of the first year.

The pace is rapid, with product decisions evolving quickly in a company of 10 people.

The team you will join

You will be one of 10, reporting directly to the CEO, and making key product decisions.

Who gets this role

You will have built a new design system and converted it into React objects, designed and built internal tools, and led a team of at least 3 people. Experience as a zero-to-one product designer with a keen interest in AI tools is essential. The three candidates we end up interviewing will have demonstrated this, so if that is not you, this role may not be the best match.

Where it leads

This role will report directly to the CEO. Currently, we're only 10 people, but we aim to be 250 by the end of next year, so there's an enormous opportunity for the right person.
